At Touch Nest, we strive to provide a seamless and secure shopping experience. Our Payment Terms & Policy complies with Dutch e-commerce regulations and ensures safe, transparent, and fair transactions for all our customers. Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase.
1. Accepted Payment Methods
We offer a variety of payment options to cater to different preferences in the Netherlands and internationally.
✅ iDEAL – The most widely used payment method in the Netherlands, allowing instant bank transfers.
✅ Credit/Debit Cards – Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Maestro.
✅ Klarna Pay Later – Buy now, pay within 30 days (subject to approval).
✅ Klarna Pay in 3 – Split your purchase into three equal payments (interest-free).
✅ AfterPay/Riverty – Receive your order first and pay within 14 days (available for approved customers).
✅ PayPal – Secure checkout with Buyer Protection.
✅ Apple Pay & Google Pay – Fast and secure mobile payment options.
✅ Bancontact – For Belgian customers, allowing direct bank payments.
✅ SOFORT Banking – Direct bank transfers for EU customers.
✅ SEPA Direct Debit – Automatic bank transfer for recurring payments.
2. Payment Processing & Security
🔒 Secure Transactions:
- All payments are processed through SSL-encrypted gateways, ensuring high security.
- We do not store any payment details on our servers. Payments are processed via trusted third-party providers such as Stripe, Mollie, PayPal, and Klarna.
Payment Authorization & Processing Time:
- All payments are authorized immediately after checkout.
- Depending on the payment method, funds may take 1-3 business days to be fully processed.
- Orders paid via Klarna, AfterPay, or SEPA Direct Debit may take additional verification time.
❌ Failed Payments:
- If a payment fails, the order will not be processed until a successful payment is made.
- Customers will be notified via email about the failure and can attempt the payment again.
3. Klarna & AfterPay – Pay Later Terms
📌 Pay Later with Klarna (30 Days):
- Customers can place an order and pay within 30 days after shipment.
- Klarna will send reminders, and failure to pay may result in late fees and credit reporting.
📌 Pay in 3 Installments (Interest-Free):
- Customers can split payments into three equal parts, deducted monthly.
- The first installment is charged at checkout, and the rest are deducted automatically.
📌 AfterPay/Riverty (14 Days):
- Customers can place an order and pay within 14 days after delivery.
- A credit check may be required, and late payments may incur additional fees.
Note: Klarna and AfterPay payments are subject to approval by their respective providers. If a payment is rejected, Touch Nest has no influence over the decision.
4. Taxes & Additional Fees
📌 VAT (BTW) Charges
- All prices listed on our website are inclusive of VAT (BTW) as required by Dutch tax law.
- The VAT percentage is applied based on the product category (e.g., 21% standard VAT, 9% for essential goods).
- Customers outside the EU may not be charged VAT, but import duties may apply.
📌 Import Duties & Customs Fees (International Orders)
- For customers ordering outside the EU, additional customs duties, import taxes, and clearance fees may be charged by local authorities.
- Touch Nest is not responsible for these charges, and customers must pay them upon delivery.
📌 Transaction Fees
- Touch Nest does not charge additional transaction fees. However, some payment providers (such as PayPal) may charge a small transaction fee based on your payment method.
5. Payment Confirmation & Order Processing
✔️ Once payment is successfully received, customers will get an email confirmation with the order details.
✔️ If an order is flagged for manual review (due to high-value purchases or suspicious activity), processing may take up to 24 hours.
✔️ Orders paid via SEPA Direct Debit, Klarna, or AfterPay may take additional time for verification.
6. Refunds & Payment Reversals
Refund Processing Time
- If eligible for a refund, payments will be processed within 5-10 business days after approval.
- Refunds will be issued to the original payment method only.

❗ Non-Refundable Charges:
- Shipping fees (unless the return is due to a fault on our side).
- Klarna/AfterPay service fees (if applicable).
- Import duties or VAT paid outside the EU.
7. Chargebacks & Fraud Prevention
🚨 Fraudulent Transactions:
- All transactions are monitored for fraud. If suspicious activity is detected, the order may be canceled or delayed for further verification.
- Touch Nest reserves the right to refuse service if fraudulent activity is suspected.
❌ Unauthorized Chargebacks:
- If a chargeback is filed without legitimate cause, Touch Nest reserves the right to dispute it and pursue legal action if necessary.
- Customers who initiate fraudulent chargebacks may be blacklisted from future purchases.
8. Subscription & Recurring Payments
Subscription-Based Orders:
- If Touch Nest offers subscription-based services, customers will be billed on a recurring basis (monthly/quarterly).
- Customers can cancel or modify subscriptions anytime before the next billing cycle.
SEPA Direct Debit Authorization:
- Customers choosing SEPA Direct Debit for recurring payments authorize Touch Nest to withdraw funds on the agreed schedule.
- Any disputes or cancellations must be reported at least 3 business days before the next payment date.

- Touch Nest operates under Dutch and EU e-commerce laws, including the Distance Selling Act (Wet Koop op Afstand).
